  • Although the New Expo on Jaladri is now in its 10th consecutive year, this will be the first year in its new home, The Jaladrian Coastal Exposition Center (JCEC). A joint project between New Cascade, Port Worden, and the Baisho-Caplan Conglomerate.

The project began as the new northern hub for Indigo Inter-Island Transitโ€™s Aquamarine line, the only terrestrial link between the planetโ€™s two cities. The station was relocated in 1985 due to the vibrations affecting surrounding lava structures and therefore the flora and fauna above it. 3km away, a large underground deposit of granite bedrock was identified, boasting a substantial cave system.

This location became the basis for the new station. The rarity of ample bedrock so close to the ocean made it an ideal place for Additional Vertical Structures (AVS). On Jaladri, airspace is maximized to limit the unnecessary spread of human environments.  This is the point  where multiple interested parties decided to begin โ€œadvisingโ€ the project.

There are four underground levels. The bottom contains the train platform separated into two areas, one for passengers, and the larger reserved for cargo and mail operations. Above the train platform is all passenger support and transport to the surface, the top two floors are occupied by Omni-Coastal Logistic Solutions (as well as the entire 14th floor). They run their flagship hub and operations office at the JCEC.

Above ground, The Exposition Center is a split level atrium building occupying the first 10 floors. The interior offices, conference rooms, and halls are integrated into the buildingโ€™s support structures. Four massive columns, each of them the size of a small building themselves. The first floor is also split level, with a Cozy Mart, Vendmat, restaurant, and Nature Shop in the recessed floor of the atrium. Here, one can glance up and notice the 64-meter vaulted ceilings.

Because all of the facilities are within the structure, all the empty space is filled with plants, flowers, and trees. This is one of the larger buildings On-World that can produce its own microclimates. Above the JCEC is an additional four floors of offices and then a penthouse floor containing multiple residences.

  • In addition to a new location, this yearโ€™s Expo also coincides with a local astral phenomenon. Every 21 years, a comet-like object passes by Jaladri on a highly elliptical orbit. During the last event in 1974, massive storms prevented most observation and studyโ€”at the time there were very few facilities and satellites capable of doing so. In 1953, it was thought to be some type of Solar Storm. The city ships were insulated against the effects at the time, but all electronics and structures outside of them were affected.

Guests and vendors arriving should take note of increased geomagnetic interference which may impact registration and accessory key access.

This year, the New Expo is welcoming delegates and vendors from Earth, Terra Proxy (Earthโ€™s Moon) and Port Worden. After 10 years, the electric energy and cutting-edge innovation of the New Expo has attracted humans from all over the explored galaxy.

Please keep in mind some attendees may be taking four years away from their home to attend this event in person.

  • New Expo welcomes Aqua Media Holdings from Terra Proxy on their inaugural journey to Jaladri. On Saturday night at 8pm JST, they will be hosting a presentation in the Grand Coast Viewing Hall detailing technological advancements from across the solar system. There will be a separate event and gala held at the Baisho-Caplan complex the following day at 10pm JST.

Device Security will be on site to verify registration and key credentials, alongside a small detachment from Baisho-Caplan corporate security.

  • During the Expo, the Columbia Atrium will be host to a special exhibit from the Exo Planet Environmental Trust. โ€œWinter Blooming Flowersโ€ will include all of Jaladriโ€™s fantastic flowering plants and trees that bloom during the dark seasons. This is a nocturnal exhibit only. We will be acclimating the Atrium for rain throughout the evening, so please dress accordingly. No devices, and low speaking voices only. Decibel meters will be installed at various locations around the Atrium to ensure compliance.

  • The 1995 New Expo may be a celebration of innovation and advancement in technology and media, but itโ€™s also a place where form, function, and beauty coalesce. Due to the restrictive nature of travel between planets, fashion, design, and aesthetics have evolved over the last four decades. This year, for the first time, native Jaladrians get to experience human culture across three different worlds. In that spirit, we have expanded vendors, exhibits, and events to include contributions from all aspects of design and aesthetics.

  • When it first began in 1985, The New Expo was a joint effort between Port Worden and New Cascade. Sharing innovations and ideas through collaboration, workshops, and presentations. Delegates from all occupations and industries were in attendance. This is the core that we have evolved from over the past decade. 1995 is the first year that we have expanded the Expo beyond the boundaries of Jaladri. The next ten days mark the most significant exchange of culture and science since the Expansion Era.

  • Possibly the most important presentation of the entire Expo. The Emerald Gem of Jaladri is the fascinating discovery of the Lake Green Algae. Thanks to work from the Exo Planet Environmental Trust, and key research and support from the Ottica Davis Foundation and Miranda Rex from Environmental Administration, a new cleaner form of Lake Green has been developed. Glacier Green Absolute promises to be the most effective format of the Algae. Stable over long periods of cryo-storage, it promises to reduce vitality loss of shipments by up to 63%.

  • Open Innovation is the basis on which The New Expo was founded. Researchers have been collaborating for decades both on Jaladri, and across the solar system, securing humanityโ€™s future, and making our worlds a better place.
